Title: “The Illusion of Yes” 2024– Limited Edition series Private Figures: The Glass Between
This black-and-white photograph pairs seduction with ambiguity. Behind the glass, her figure feels almost alive—posed in a way that is both alluring and remote.
Returning to this image again and again, I found something magnetic in its contradictions: the tension between display and concealment, fantasy and restraint. Glamorous and unsettling—like a private theater staged for passersby. For me, The Illusion of Yes is a reminder that our fantasies often live just behind glass, asking only for our attention.

About Private Figures: The Glass Between Series
This series emerged over years of walking with my camera, not from seeking subjects but from the quiet encounters that happen along the way. I never go looking for mannequins—they simply appear, caught between reflection and reality, waiting in storefront glass like accidental actors.
I’m drawn to their stillness, their strange intimacy. These “private figures” seem to inhabit a space between allure and absence, between being seen and being unseen. In their frozen gestures, I recognize something human—a kind of vulnerability disguised as perfection.
In street photography, the moment happens to you—it’s fleeting, unrepeatable, instinctive. But in these window reflections, I’m able to consciously construct—to stand still, observe, and anticipate the print as a final visual statement. The result is a surreal and mysterious aesthetic—an exploration of identity, time, and the visual story telling itself. Not all windows are equal; some reveal more than they reflect, depending on how long we stop to look.
Framing:
Prints are sold unframed. Frames shown in product images are for display only. It’s often more economical to frame locally.
