This black-and-white photograph pairs seduction with ambiguity. Behind the glass, her figure feels almost alive—posed in a way that is both alluring and remote. Lace textures and gleaming reflections create an atmosphere of desire that never fully reveals its intention.
Returning to this image again and again, I found something magnetic in its contradictions: the tension between display and concealment, fantasy and restraint. Like so much in life, it hints at something just out of reach. It feels glamorous and unsettling—like a private theater staged for passersby. For me, The Illusion of Yes is a reminder that our fantasies often live just behind glass, asking only for our attention.

About the Artist
In 2019, I began focusing more fully on sharing this lifelong body of photographic work beyond family and friends.
