Private Rehearsal is a black-and-white fine art photograph exploring the tension between allure and artifice. Two mannequins—poised, unblinking—appear to be caught mid-performance behind a veil of reflections. Soft candlelight and bright studio bulbs create a layered composition that feels both theatrical and voyeuristic.
I was drawn to how these figures seem almost sentient in their frozen gestures, a reminder of the ways desire and fantasy are staged, curated, and sold. Their impassive faces conceal entire invented narratives, inviting the viewer to project their own stories.
