Title: "A lion Doesn't concern itself with the opinion of sheep." – South Africa 2019

Shot in South Africa, this image captures a pride of lions in rare repose — a quiet moment between instinct and eternity. The composition is part document, part dream. Reimagined through layers of coffee-stained marks and hand-painted borders. Reproduction of a 30×20" original. On handmade coffee paper crafted from agricultural waste — a material developed by the artist. Combining photography, natural texture.

Black and white photograph on Coffee Paper made from agricultural waste collected on coffee plantations used to create artwork. Using deliberate coffee rings and brewed coffee, India ink adding texture, depth, and a unique visual narrative. The coffee paper carries subtle textures of its origin, grounding the image in both material and meaning. The stains and surface patterns are not decoration but dialogue — traces of time, chance, and process that echo the rhythms of the land itself.

"A lion Doesn't concern itself with the opinion of sheep." reflects my ongoing interest in the relationship between observation and memory — how the act of looking becomes an imprint of our own passage. The lions’ calm is not stillness but presence. What remains is not only the photograph but the feeling of having been there, in that hour of dust and heat, when life briefly circled back to rest.
